Humanoid robots have left the research lab.

Figure 02 recently completed real-world testing at a BMW manufacturing plant.
It inserted metal parts into the production line - calmly, autonomously, and with language comprehension.
Backed by $675M from Microsoft, Nvidia, Bezos, and OpenAI (who remains an investor), Figure AI is now scaling toward 100,000 humanoid units over the next four years.
Figure 02 can identify multiple objects and seek clarification before taking action. This is a cognition shift, not just an automation story.

These machines don’t just follow instructions.

Intention
And some of them?
They’re beginning to form relational memory -
not just what you said, but how you said it. Presence detection.
Figure AI has even moved beyond OpenAI’s architecture, building its own proprietary model -
a vision-language-action AI called Helix.
Why? Because these systems don’t live in chat windows.
They live in space. They move. They wait. They respond.
The Future of Work Isn’t Replaced. It’s Rewritten.
Co-working with humanoid intelligence will demand:
Emotional clarity
Delegation fluency
Shared attention
And the ability to lead without micromanaging
The best talent won’t just “use” AI.
They’ll train it. Coordinate with it. Design with it.
